Book Cover Design

Below I present to you three book cover designs that were created in Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign.  This assignment asked us to pick an object that was created in between 1920-1960's.  The object that I chose was a polaroid.  The way I incorporated this into my design was by using the rainbow color that is located on the camera and the dotted look that was represented in the 1960's pop art.  It was our choice as to what exactly the name and book would be based on.  I decided to   name the book wither from view which was a story of a couple who is having a hard time as one goes through Alzheimer.  A way to jog that persons memory, their significant others takes photos using a polaroid camera to help them remember.

Programs used:

  • Photoshop

  • InDesign

Time frame: 1.5 week

Part 2

After creating the 3 different book cover options, we then had to design a banner and a PR poster.  The banner was to be placed on the website of Barnes and Noble and the poster on interior or exterior areas. Both was to promote a book signing of the book 'Wither from View'. Below are the mockups of these designs.
